If you are in a great conversation with another individual, which is more important:

  • the words that you are saying or
  • the meaning that you are trying to portray?

Most of us would select the latter, yet, my premise is that both are equally important and necessary.

Powerful Persuasion

Why do I say that? To put it differently, to articulate powerful persuasion to explain a certain meaning to everyone is essential, especially in business. To be clear and crisp in our approach to a tricky situation is definitely a plus. There is no doubt if it is planned coherently and correctly.

Likewise, it’s not done overnight. It takes months, if not years, if not even longer to master the art of faith and passion of clear essence.

Like A Debater

However, handling one’s intones and fire in your belly in words when speaking also is very useful, too. Just like a debater or an excellent public speaker, to go beyond the “normal” vocabulary and expand one’s intellect is very appealing.

Thus, for me, jittery and nervous, I possess a double wham about my communications.

You see, suffering a massive stroke, one of the side effects is aphasia, a language disorder that affects the verbal and written communications. Therefore, I seize little problems understanding reading and grasp writing words from time to time. I feel anger and isolation of a flood of emotions which I expected, I guess.

More than that, I also am the worst at timely phrases, not because of my meaning, but my malapropos is so bad.

Precision, Practice, and Cunning

But, I work nimbly to conquer my eloquent skills each and every day with precision, practice, and cunning in both words and meaning.

For this reason, all of us can prevail using our conversational prowess and message each and every time by applying the right expression. Learning means being critical of oneself in this area but the results will be vast.
