Hi, I am Herb Silverman. I am a blogger, networker, advocate, leader, just to name a few. But more than that, I am optimistic and positive in my life and scope; other words, for me and my experiences, it’s life lessons learned.
Squarely focused, I explore change and outlook on areas of:
- leadership
- productivity
- salesmanship
- adaptability
- humor
To put it differently, be positive. Be unique. Be different.
Beyond that, as a guest speaker, I share my personal story and leverage the force of insightful ideas. With my distinctive voice and acute sense of humor, I am able to educate, inform and inspire any audience. Drawing from years of personal experience, I teach how to harness the power of positive thinking to others. More than that, I nurture and bolster a “can-do” attitude to all. I also write features in many articles, podcasts, radio, and TV.
Wild Card
As I mentioned before, born of a unique and totally random occurrence, I suffered a massive stroke on my right side in 1991 when I was 27 years old. More than that, I acquired aphasia, a language disorder that affects my ability to communicate, both written and verbal.
Whoa nelly.
Really?
Really.
Trust me, after ten days in a coma, I couldn’t walk, talk, read or write. Certainly now, after years of speech therapists and personal progress, well, what can we say! As we go forward, as you can probably imagine, I am still going to make mistakes, errors or be a little bit vague from time to time without even knowing; alas.
It keeps things lively, wouldn’t you say?!
